Character Interview # 1: Joshua Crawford

1. Please tell us your name and a little about your background.

Joshua Crawford. My friends and family call me, Josh. I’m the son of James Crawford, the late, Anna Crawford, and the older brother to Jake Crawford. I’m slated to be the next CEO of my father’s corporation, Crawford Enterprises. But my current partnership with K.K. Blakely, is the one that has my head spinning. I was an idiot to think I could have her, but she’s all I want.

2. What is your greatest fear?

That the age-old adage about mixing business and pleasure will come true and I’ll lose the love of my life. It's been an uphill battle to convince her that we can have it all. She's a stealth in the boardroom and the bedroom, but she wrecks havoc on my heart. I guess I'm glutton for punishment, but she's worth it.

3. Whom do you trust the most?

Myself. I'm a self-sufficient, over-achiever who won't take no for an answer. When I said I was used to getting what I wanted, I meant it. Little did I know, I'd set my sights on the one woman who was supposed to be off-limits. But, hell, I'm a man. Tell me I can't have something and I'm going to want that something even more.

4. What is your greatest weakness?

Damn...no man wants to admit his weaknesses. I guess I suffer from the same thing every man suffers from, exposing his heart and falling in love. When it's good...it's really, really good, but when it's bad...it's a gut-wrenching, heart-shattering walk straight through hell.

5. What is your greatest strength?

Never wavering on my beliefs and pursuits. I’ll stop at nothing to get what I want.

6. Is there someone special in your life?

Kasey Kelly Blakey, the CEO of Blakely Incorporated and my current business partner. She's drop-dead gorgeous with waves of chestnut hair that cascade down her back, blue eyes as dazzling as sapphires, lips as supple as rose petals and a body to die for. She’s a goddess carved out of the smoothest, most tantalizing flesh. Just touching her sets my senses on fire. And when she kisses you...really kisses you...it strips you bare and claws at your very soul. She’s utterly breathtaking in every possible way.

7. What obstacles stand in the way of your happiness?

It's been a battle of the heart and mind. K.K. was convinced we couldn't be partners and lovers, that it would never work. But I knew we could have it all and fought relentlessly to prove it. Getting her was one thing, keeping her is another.

8. What is the worst thing you ever had to do and why did you feel compelled to do it?

I lied about my last name. If she would have found out who I was before that first date...well, let’s just say, my plot to try and make her mine would have ended before it started. It was a risky move that almost backfired in my face. I did a lot of begging and pleading that night but wound up on top. In more ways than one. If you know what I mean.

9. What would you sacrifice to be with your special someone?

What haven't I sacrificed? I'd give her the world. She owns me – body, heart and soul.

10. Do you believe in love at first sight? Absolutely. It happened to me.

11. If you could travel back in time to change one thing in your past, what would it be?

I would never have kissed my assistant, Megan, in a drunken stupor all those years ago. It was the biggest mistake and it almost cost me the love of my life. Almost.

12. What's the future hold for the great Joshua Crawford, future CEO, son, brother, and boyfriend to the girl of your dreams?

You can add fiancee to that list. The job is assured, but the shoes of my fathers will be big ones to fill. Jake and I have a somewhat strained relationship for reasons he'll have to explain. But he's my brother and blood is thicker than water, so to speak. As for the girl of my dreams, I promised her that she could have it all and I intend to give it to her. I've asked her to marry me and she's finally said, yes. I want what she wants, a career, marriage and a bunch of kids. I guess only time will tell, but the future looks bright.
