Hope only wants to find out if her ability to infuse euphoria or despair with her touch makes her the devil's spawn, or his exterminator. But when the woman who raised her is murdered by something not human, she loses the only family she knew and discovers one she might wish she hadn’t.

Drawn back to the home town she vowed never to return to, her ability is seen as an asset to everyone but Hope, and she doesn't know who to trust. Her family wants her to help them overcome an enemy oppressing the human population, while the man of her dreams is courting her for the Underworld.

Christmas Memories!

There's nothing like a walk down memory lane. I have tons of Christmas memories from my childhood. My parents always made Christmas a big deal. Presents galore and stockings stuffed to the brim. Back then you didn't get things throughout the year like my children do, it was summer clothes at the end of the school year, new school clothes at the end of summer and then they supplemented you with Christmas.

My list looked nothing like my kid's list. Maybe I should quantify, because my son is only 8 and still wants toys. My daughter is 10 (going on 20) and her list is a whole other matter. My parents would have quickly blown the whole idea of there even being a Santa had I produced this list: Laptop Computer, IPhone 6 with Lifeproof Case, Bedroom Remodeled (can be done in 2014 (scratch) 2015, Shoes, Aquamarine Necklace and Flat Screen TV for my bedroom. HA! HA! God love her. She is certainly ambitious! We adore her, but she only got one thing on that list - shoes! I'll remodel her bedroom at a later date and she's getting a gift certificate that I created off my computer that has a specific value. Remodel to her father and I, is new paint and new bedspread, a cute chair and new art work. Remodel to her means construction. Her vision is similar to the picture below. Can't blame her, I would have loved that bedroom too.

That's the current state of Christmas. However, my favortie memory from Christmas past is when my son was 4 and we bought him his first motorized car. A yellow Corvette. We brought it into the foyer of our home on Christmas Eve and my kids had to walk by it just to get to the rest of the house on Christmas morning. My son and daughter came running into our bedroom at the crack of dawn yelling at their father about parking a new car in the house. We couldn't quit laughing. It was priceless.
