3 days. 2 people. 1 story.

‘Hank’ Jerry, a down and out writer, and Jack Darcy, a former gang leader, team up to write his story for mutual gain and end up falling for each other.

It’s not long before their romance is as hot as the copy she’s writing, but they’ve both got something to hide that could blow up in their faces, and with time running out and gang enforcers closing in, will the trust they’ve forged survive the ultimate test?

Let's talk appetizers!

I entertain a lot. I like to cook and love to have people in my home. It's a much richer experience to surround yourself with friends in the comfort of your own home, than it is at a busy, loud restaurant. With that said, I have a easy appetizer that is sure to please.

I can’t really take credit, because my friend Elizabeth Heiskell, a professional caterer turned me on to these little gems. Men will hover over the platter till their sick.

Candied Bacon Sticks

3 pkgs. Oscar Meyer bacon (thin, and only Oscar Meyer)

3-4 pkgs. Thin Italian Breadsticks, no sesame seeds (usually in the fine Italian foods, or any high-end grocery store)

1-2 bags of light or dark Brown Sugar

You will need several cookie sheets, all lined with parchment paper. I suggest you find a pretty large platter or plate to work on. Put 1/3 of the bag of brown sugar on the platter. You’ll just keep adding as necessary. You’ll have to work smart with the breadstick, they break easily. That’s why I suggest getting several boxes. Take the breadstick and twist a single piece of bacon around one end, extending it to the other. Cut off excess if necessary, but you want to try to cover every inch of the stick. Then take the bacon wrapped stick and put it in the brown sugar. Press it, pat it and coat it and place it on your backing sheet. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Cook on 375 for 18-20 minutes until crisp. They will candy and are best served warm. I cut mine in half while their warm. Enjoy! People truly lose their minds over these, but who doesn’t love bacon!
